WHY TEIKA?

¨After 15 years in Spain, we — Beatrice and Edgars Miķelsoni returned to our homeland with a deep longing for family, roots, and purpose. In the heart of Liepāja, we discovered the perfect space to breathe new life into a legendary place — Teika. This location holds history: once, during the Soviet era, the very first coffee machine in Liepāja was installed right here. It was a meeting point — children bought pastries after school, and ladies stopped in for coffee on their way to the theatre. The aroma of Riga Black Balsam and fresh cakes filled the air.¨
